We recently received word that Butterfly Dust has been accepted into the Action On Film (AOF) International Film Festival! This is especially meaningful to the film’s writer, Eric Jones, and myself, as it was just two short years ago that he and I met at AOF when my thesis film, Found, screened there. He had a short script in the festival entitled More Than Skin Deep, which won the AOF 2012 award for Best Dialogue in a Short Script. We quickly realized that we had similar sensibilities in storytelling, and so we dove headfirst into rewriting and ultimately producing his short script. It became Butterfly Dust, and beginning our festival run back at AOF only makes sense.
AOF becomes the third Official Selection for the film, joining Dragon Con Independent Film Festival in late August and The Other Venice Film Festival in October.
