When I cast Jessica Lynn Parsons as the lead in The Gateway House, I had the opportunity to have lunch with her and discuss the script and her character. While chatting, she raved about being involved in a streaming D&D show called The Dungeon Run. When I suddenly had an abundance of free time during the pandemic, I started watching. And completely fell in the love with the show.
Fast forward a couple years, and I support them on patreon… and they just introduced a new perk for a certain tier of subscribers to play D&D with actor/producer Morgan Peter Brown as the DM. WELL… today was my first session playing his original campaign ‘An Island Called Respite’ with folks from all over the country. I had so much fun, and more importantly, met some really cool people!
This won’t fill my need for a regular game (we’ll be playing every few months or so, as Morgan rotates through all the patrons), but it’s a great start!
