Erik (our illustrious editor!) and I have spent LOTS of time together the last few weeks, molding the cut to get as close to my initial vision as possible. To be frank, we are both extremely happy with it. But we’ve also been working in our own little bubble this whole time, and getting the perspective of others is a crucial part of the process. That happened tonight.
We had a producer screening earlier this evening. It was really wonderful seeing Alexis and Gwydhar and catching up a bit. Then came the actual screening. While I was confident in the cut, I was also extremely nervous. As it turns out, I had no reason to be. They both loved it. They had notes, of course (as any good producer would), but the notes were minimal and easily executable (for the most part!)
So Erik and I have good direction in which to move. Really can’t wait to share the finished product with everyone. Back at it in a couple days!
